rainbowR is having its first ever conference!
Why are we having a conference? To connect, support and promote LGBTQ+ folks who code in R, to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues through data-driven activism, to share our work with R, and to bolster the rainbowR community.
When will the conference be? February 25-26th, 2026, 4pm-9pm UTC.
Who is the conference for? For LGBTQ+ folks who code in R, and allies, from across the world.
Where will the conference be? Online.
What will the conference consist of? Regular and lightning talks, keynotes, workshops, and socials.
Who will have overall oversight of the conference? Ella Kaye, supported by her Software Sustainability Institute fellowship.
